I’ve had hot pockets before and think they’re OK. Good for something from a microwave, but this lady takes it to the next level:
I personally thought that she had the right idea when she achieved a super flaky crust since I didn’t know I wanted a pizza croissant until I saw it, but she gets a surprisingly accurate result.

Claire Saffitz does a whole line of these videos where she tries to make gourmet versions of candy and other cheap food. They are pretty great.

I live in GR and there were some yoo pers who made homemade pasties and brought them to the farmer’s market and heated them up and served them there. I didn’t know the pasty was the ultimate street food, but I see the light now!

True, I think it’s a simple idea but she used a lot of cool techniques to make an accurate knockoff.
The difference here is how the filling is wrapped... IIRC calzones and pastys are crimped on one side whereas these hot pocket casings are layered or rolled.
Semantics aside, I want all the filled savoury pastries. I don’t really like sweet, dessert pies but I crave savoury, meat-filled pies.
